1 📖 A Day in the Life of a Yuri Author – Part 1

📖 A Day in the Life of a Yuri Author – Part 1

(This Morning I Couldn’t Write a Thing… And That’s Okay)

My weekdays are packed from morning till night with meetings and tasks.

Monday through Friday, I work a demanding full-time job. Some days my head feels like it’ll explode. Other days, it’s like I’ve left my heart behind in some meeting room.

But when Saturday comes, it’s like a secret switch inside my heart flips on automatically.

I wake up earlier than usual...earlier than on workdays, even.

No alarm. No pressure. Nothing waiting for me, really.

On mornings like these, I reach for my iPad.

With the other hand, I open my app to order an iced coffee...less sugar, though not necessarily less sweet inside.

Then I start tapping on my favorite keyboard... or at least, that’s the plan.

But believe it or not...on many mornings, I can’t write a single word.

Even with the plot clearly in my mind,

Even with two girls in love whispering their story to me,

Even with a scene waiting for their eyes to meet…

Everything stays still. Like water in a pond that won’t ripple.

I type... delete... type again... and delete again.

Maybe it’s the exhaustion I’ve been carrying from work.

Maybe my heart just isn’t flowing with the story yet.

Or maybe I’m just hungrier for peace than prose today.

When I can’t write, I look for other things to do. (And that’s how peaceful destruction begins.)

I play a ghost story video in the background to quiet the noise in my head (but honestly, I enjoy them too much).

And I know myself too well...it’s never just one episode.

Three episodes later, I’m still there, scrolling through X while listening.

Until I stumble upon a #LingOrm fan edit...my beloved ship.

And just like that… my writing morning becomes a heart-fluttering one instead.

And yes, I feel a little guilty about the blank pages waiting for me.

But I’ve realized… not writing is still part of writing.

It’s how I tell myself...today might not be the day, but I’m still here with the story.

I still love writing, just the same.

Still waiting for those two girls to walk back into the scene, whispering in my heart.

Saying... “I’m ready to tell our story now.”

Thanks for reading. I hope your Saturday is full of stories waiting to be told. :)

Loving Cats… But Afraid of Goodbyes

Loving Cats… But Afraid of Goodbyes

🐾 I’m someone who deeply loves cats. For as long as I can remember, there were always cats in my home. Some were given to us, while others were strays that wandered in, as if they chose our home as their safe haven. And we… we always welcomed them with open arms.

I loved each and every one of them, unconditionally—even though I knew I was allergic. Some days, I would sneeze until my eyes turned red, but I still held them close, still hugged them. They were like friends, like family. We spent every day together, ate together, and even slept in the same room. Sometimes, we argued like siblings too.

But one thing I could never get used to… was saying goodbye.

As my cats grew older, they became more playful, more adventurous. They would wander off, exploring the world as freely as cats do. Many times, they never returned. Or if they did, it was without life. I vividly remember every time my grandfather carried their small, lifeless bodies and took me with him to bury them. My heart felt like it was torn apart. I cried until I could hardly breathe. The sadness lingered for a long time. Sometimes, it wasn’t just sorrow—it felt like a little hole had been carved into my heart.

Life went on in this loop. One cat left, another came. I loved again… and lost again.

As a child, I never understood why my cats died so often. It wasn’t until I grew older that I realized… our house was next to a busy road. They were hit by cars. All they had done was go for a walk, like every other day.

The turning point came when I entered university. At that time, we still had cats—strays that we took in, one of which even brought her kittens to our house. It was as if she knew this was a safe place. And of course… my family took them in.

They grew up to be adorable. I loved them once more, thinking that perhaps, now that I was grown, I wouldn’t be as heartbroken as before. But I was wrong… One by one, they passed away. And I cried, just like I used to. But this time, I started questioning myself—why am I still crying over the same thing, even as an adult? I fell into a quiet sadness.

And that was the day I decided to stop raising cats.

Not because I stopped loving them, but because I didn’t want to be heartbroken anymore.

Nowadays, when stray cats come to our home, my family still takes them in. As for me… I still love them, just from a distance. I try not to get too attached.

I’ve learned that love doesn’t always mean possession. Sometimes, watching from afar, seeing someone else’s cat happy, well-cared for, and loved—that’s enough for me. It brings me peace.

I will always love cats, forever. But I choose not to get too close anymore… to protect my own heart

Behind the Scenes of “The Crown Princess” Book Trailer #2

| The Crown Princess: In Her Silence

Behind the Scenes of “The Crown Princess” Book Trailer #2

| The Crown Princess: In Her Silence

After creating my very first book trailer, I found myself enjoying the process of storytelling through moving visuals. So, I set out to create the second trailer—this time with a different tone, one that would delve deeper into the emotions of the main character.

🔍 It all began, once again, with music.

I spent a long time listening to dozens of tracks and eventually narrowed it down to two:

• One had an intense, dramatic rhythm.

• The other carried a haunting, sorrowful beauty.

I thought about the story—how it’s filled with both powerful moments and quiet pain. I had to choose just one direction.

In the end, I chose the sorrowful melody. It felt perfect for expressing the silent ache in the Queen’s heart—a woman burdened by the weight of the throne, yet shaken by the someone.

🎥 For the visuals, I continued to use symbolic imagery, like palace halls, glowing candles, a throne, a crown, sunlight, and shadows…

But this time, I added something new: animated character portraits taken from the book cover.

Seeing their expressions come to life—their eyes filled with emotion—made me feel closer to the characters than ever before.

I spent hours aligning each frame, adjusting light, color, pacing, and subtitles to match the emotion of the music.

And when everything came together, I truly felt:

This trailer has a heart.

Though I don’t have professional tools or a team,

this has become one of the creations I’m most proud of.

And I would love to share it with you—

so you can glimpse the quiet longing that lives in the Queen’s silence.

💛 Thank you to everyone who’s followed and supported me through this journey.

Behind the Scenes of My First Book Trailer: The Crown Princess

| The Crown Princess: A Queen’s duty begins

YouTube Library

🎥Behind the Scenes of My First Book Trailer: The Crown Princess

| The Crown Princess: A Queen’s duty begins

Creating my first book trailer wasn’t easy—especially as a new author with no background in video editing, no professional team, and no advanced tools. All I had was inspiration, determination, and a deep love for the story I wrote.

The very first thing I searched for was a royalty-free soundtrack.

I spent hours listening to dozens of tracks on sites like Pixabay and YouTube Library, until I found one with a thrilling and majestic tone. It felt incredibly fitting for the character of the warrior queen. From the very first notes, I could already sense the atmosphere of power, duty, and inner conflict.

Once the music was chosen, I started selecting the visuals.

I didn’t use full illustrations of the characters, so I focused on atmospheric imagery that conveyed emotion: palaces, council halls, northern provinces, armies, a crown, flowers, and glimpses of the queen in her warrior’s attire, holding her signature bow.

Every image was chosen to match the theme of the story — a warrior queen burdened by duty, the hopes of her people, and the weight of her own heart.

It took me nearly two days to sync the visuals with the rhythm of the music.

Some scenes had to be revised several times to make sure the subtitles captured what the queen was facing — as the very first reigning monarch of her kingdom.

What makes me smile, despite not having a big production team or high view counts,

is knowing that every frame in this trailer was created from the heart.

And I hope it allows the audience to catch a glimpse — even just a little — of the queen’s inner world.

Thank you to everyone who watched the trailer. 💛

  • Google Translate —
  • Longman Language Activator —

ท้ายที่สุด นิยายของฉันก็ได้ชื่อว่า “The Crown Princess: A Sapphic Royal Romance in a Southeast Asian-Inspired Kingdom” และฉันก็ได้เรียนรู้การทำ self-publishing ทั้งในไทยและต่างประเทศไปพร้อมกัน
